Is an indigenous bean that is grown in some parts of Africa and India, its main use is to soil improvement and used as forage for animal feeds. In Zimbabwe the plant is grown in the low-lying parts of Mwenezi i.e regions 4&5.In addition, it is cited as a medicine and ornamental plant.
